At the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony in Melbourne, Australia’s number one songstress, Delta Goodrem, brought the house down with her inspiring performance of the official 2006 Commonwealth Games song, Together We Are One.
She also let her hair down, with celebrity hair stylist & make-up artist Dale Dorning transforming Delta into a goddess and her normally shoulder-length hair into loose, cascading curls with the help of Headlines Hairpieces™.

“Delta and I liaised heavily with Barbara Hatten of Headlines Hairpieces as to what hairpieces would help achieve our total look and her expert advice with regards to styling and colour matching the hairpieces was invaluable,” says Dale. “We used the volumisers to give Delta’s hair a gorgeous lift from the crown right through the back, and the add-ons to give her hair fullness and volume at the front.”

To re-create Delta’s Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony show hair with Headlines Hairpieces™, Dale recommends the following steps:
1. Wash own hair & hairpieces using a salon-recommended shampoo & conditioner such as PPS Pure Cleanse Shampoo & PPS Colourwear Conditioner. Blow dry hair smooth and hairpieces in similar style to your own.
2. Iron hair and hairpieces in sections and curl with a vertical curl (lifted up) and press curls with irons to lock curl in.
3. Take hair from each ear and section off in a clear curved part across your head. Insert 40cm volumiser in line with the top of ear. Place middle clip of hairpiece in position and snap shut, then place each side clip in position (one at a time) and snap shut. Build on this by adding a 30cm Volumiser at the crown of your head.
4. Insert Add-ons in front of hair to add more fullness, creative curl and volume to the hair.
5. Shake the hair out to allow curls to drop and release movement throughout the style. Finish with a spritz of PPS Gloss & fixx
